First
off, don't believe the hype!! |
There are so many
"magic bullet" products available that claim to put a music studio in your
bedroom. Most are overpriced and downright silly. Some "pro" equipment is
nowhere near as good as its reputation would lead you to believe. There are, however, some
really fine products at a great price. You can go far with a few well-chosen, modest
investments...
Secondly,
choose your tools carefully! |
If you pick out good
quality equipment to start with, you can keep adding to your setup as your projects get
more involved. By thinking through a good strategy for your purchasing (and sticking to
it!) you can avoid buying expensive gear that becomes obsolete too quickly or that doesn't
do what you want it to do.
Finally,
design your studio installation to be easy to work with! |
The best equipment
in the world will still need to be installed competently. When you get down to work, you
really want your equipment to do what you expect it to do.
