Nashville sideman/session ace Kenny Vaughan flies in the face of convention in Nashville. The irony of this situation is that Vaughan plays an eclectic blend of styles that draws heavily from classic country players and songwriters. In other words, faithfully recreating the earthy, soulful sounds that made Music City great makes Vaughan somewhat of a renegade among the majority of Nashville players... those who play with a more refined, but somewhat homogenized sound.
