WARNING - THE CURRENT VERSION IS CONSIDERED PRE-RELEASE!
My system crashes whenever I try and save my work!
This very annoying "bug" is due to an extension conflict. To resolve this
problem, simply open the Extensions Manager from the System Folder and disable any
non-Apple extension and restart your machine. This will prevent the program from crashing
in the future. If you use CD Face often and want to determine the exact extension causing
the conflict, Conflict Catcher should help diagnose the problem. Alternatively, you can
reactivate groups of extensions until the problem returns and then isolate the extension
and disable it when running CD Face.
I cannot open the 2-up template with NEATO CD-Face.
This problem has recently arose due to a conflict with the Hewlett-Packard printer driver.
We are working with HP to resolve this issue, but currently there is no way to use the HP
printer if you are having this problem. You can use our 3-up paper stock until we resolve
this problem or use an alternative printer.
When I open the 2-up template, I can't see the right label (i.e. it is
cut off)
This is easily fixed by going to the File menu and selecting the Page Setup option. To
view the whole label all you have to do is change the page orientation to landscape. This
is commonly represented by an icon displaying a sheet of paper being fed into the printer
with a different orientation.
My printouts are not aligning with the NEATO paper stock.
Under the Label: Preferences section, you have the option of entering an offset value that
will shift the whole page in the specified direction. to shift the page up, enter a
positive value in the Top Offset section. To shift down, enter a negative value. To shift
the page to the right, enter a positive number in the Left Offset section. To move it to
the left, enter a negative number. The units for these options are points. (there are 72
points per inch) To shift the paper 11/16 of an inch, enter 49 points (11/16 x 72 = 49.5)
I can not create rotated text that can be placed in the spines of the
Jewel Cases.
The current version of the program can not rotate text. Until the next release of CD Face
is available, you will have to create your vertical text in an external program and then
copy/past the text into the CD Face spine template. Any graphics program can be used,
including Graphics Converter which is located in the Shareware folder of the CD Face
CD-ROM.
